Privacy policy
Last updated 2026-10-28. This covers the website pathoforren.com. The game will have its own policy.
The short version
If you join the waitlist we keep your email address, the fact that you agreed to hear from us, when you signed up and which link brought you here. We use it only to tell you about the playtest and the launch of Path of Orren. We don't sell it, share it for advertising, or set tracking cookies.
Who is responsible

What we collect
- Waitlist: your email address, your consent, the date and time you signed up, and a source tag (the campaign link you used, or the website that sent you, such as reddit.com).
- Server logs: our host keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) to run the site and protect it from abuse.
- Nothing else. No accounts, no tracking cookies, no advertising or social media pixels.
Why, and on what basis
We email you about the playtest and the launch because you asked us to (your consent, GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Server logs are kept for the site's security and operation (our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)).
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and at the latest 12 months after the game launches, when the waitlist is closed and deleted. Server logs are deleted after a few weeks.
Who else handles it
The waitlist is stored with Supabase (database and server functions) in the United States (Oregon). The website itself is served by TODO: static host. When we send emails we use an email delivery service, which handles your address only to deliver our messages. We list it here once it is chosen.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe through the link in every email, or write to privacy@pathoforren.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to withdraw your consent. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
The waitlist is not meant for children under 16. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian first.
Changes
If this policy changes we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email, we tell you first.
